Aqua Liquid Underglaze is a soft blue-green that is very pastel at cone 05/06. It becomes a deeper blue-green and fluxes into a soft glaze-like surface at cone 5/6 and ends up losing a lot of color at cone 10. Though the underglaze does become a glaze-like surface, a clear gloss glaze can give Aqua a smooth surface with good color at low and mid temperatures, but can burn the color out at cone 10.
Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
